Clothing Policy:
Middle & Upper School
Our clothing policy reflects our school ethos supporting the development of each child’s personal talents, aspirations and identity.
We don’t have a set school uniform but expect students to recognise that our school is their professional learning environment and there are expectations that clothing is appropriate to this.
Workwear guidelines for students in non-uniform:
Shorts should be of at least mid-thigh length
Skirts or dresses should be of at least mid-thigh length if without leggings
When wearing short skirts or dresses, leggings should also be worn
No baseball caps
No offensive logos or designs on clothing
No revealing clothing such as: see-through clothing, strapless tops, short tops exposing the full midriff
No clothing that reveals undergarments
Appropriate sports clothing/trainers for all games/sports activities
No flip-flops or backless footwear due to health and safety issues
No tattoos or facial piercings
Inappropriate Clothing Procedure
It is recognised that this guidance will not cover all issues that may arise. Students may seek to wear, for example, items which have not been covered by the above guidelines, but which are against the tenor of the dress code. In such a case, or given any issue of dispute, the final arbiter is the Executive Principal or other senior member of staff.
All students are expected to arrive at school wearing clothing in accordance with this dress code. Should they not do so, then they will be asked to go home to change by the Executive Principal or other senior member of staff.
